Four-day-Old Baby Dies In Mangalore; Parents Blame Doctor’s Negligence
The death of a newborn created a commotion with the relatives alleging doctors of negligence at Government Lady Goschen hospital, Mangalore, India.
Kunjattbail resident Aman admitted his wife Prabhavathi on June 25 for delivery. She had a baby weighing 2.5 kgs through cesarean. The baby was fine till 2 pm but around 2.30 the baby faced breathing problem and turned blue.

The parent of the baby said that the baby was fine till 2 pm and around 2.30 pm, the doctors found that the baby had turned blue and stopped breathing in the incubator.

“We suspect that it is a case of negligence on part of the doctors”, said Aman, the baby’s father. Dr Rajesh at the hospital claimed the baby may have died due to aspiration of milk.

The Government Wenlock Hospital District Medical Officer has ordered post mortem by a team of doctors. The police have reported that the exact cause of death will be known after the procedure.
