Formula One Champion Michael Schumacher’s Medical Files Stolen And Offered For Sale
The seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher’s medical files have been allegedly offered for sale after they were stolen from the French hospital.
Schumacher, 45, had been in a medically induced coma since December 29 after a skiing accident in the resort of Meribel in which he sustained a severe head injury.

He recovered from coma last week.

However, medical files purportedly containing data on Schumacher's surgical procedures have been reportedly stolen from the Grenoble hospital where he was undergoing treatment and offered to a number of media outlets for an amount of around 50,000 euros.

Manager Sabine Kehm confirmed that the documents have been stolen and the theft has been reported.

However, she raised suspicion about the genuineness of the documents.

She explicitly warned against the purchase and the publication of such documents and data.

She said: "The contents of any medical files are totally private and confidential and must not be made available to the public.

"We will therefore, in every single case, press for criminal charges and damages against any publication of the content or reference to the medical file."

Meanwhile, reports indicate Schumacher has been discharged from the Grenoble Hospital and is now undergoing treatment at the University Hospital of the Canton of Vaud in Lausanne, Switzerland, which is about 20 miles away from his home.
