London is to get a cable car across the River Thames to link two 2012 Olympic venues, the city's transport authority said Monday, with construction to begin within the next few months.

Gary Lemke, of the South African Media Organisation, said: "It is my fifth Olympics and the best I've been to."
Roger McMillan, from Australian Sailing magazine, added: "The thing I've been impressed with is the friendliness. Everyone's happy and getting involved in the spirit of the Games."
