Following Supplyco
In the wake of reports that food safety inspectors in Uttar Pradesh have filed a criminal complaint against Nestle’s local arm after finding higher than permissible level of lead in some packets of Maggi noodles, the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) decided not to sell Maggi instant noodles at its outlets. A day after that, it was the turn of bakeries in the Kerala to do the same on June 3, 2015.
A representative of the bakeries in Kerala said, "We have decided to remove all packets of Maggi noodles from the shelves."

But for the manufacturers, Nestle, some relief came their way when the Kerala Food Safety authorities, after checking seven samples of Maggi collected from two districts in the state in its preliminary report, did not find anything untoward. An official said, "The final results were expected in a few days."
