First Dengue Case Reported from AIIMS Campus
The first dengue case has been reported from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). First-year post-graduate student of AIIMS has tested positive for dengue. Several dengue cases are reported from the campus each year with the first and last case also being reported from the institute. The institute has been unable to control the mosquito breeding inside the campus.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has asked the institute's director to take measures to control mosquito breeding. Totally 6,229 dengue cases have been reported in 2010, including 8 deaths, with the first case being reported in June, but this year the cases have started early. The rains that the city experienced in the last month could be the reason for the dengue cases.

The AIIMS administration said they will look into the source of infection.
