Feeding Cattle With Cannabis may Prevent Mad Cow Disease!

It seems that cattle will now be turning into dopeheads for a new study has found that feeding cattle with cannabis could stop the development and spread of mad cow disease.

A New Zealand pro-marijuana group publicised the idea, by claiming that a French study has scientific evidence to show that cannabis may prevent the growth of prion diseases, such as BSE in animals.

Researchers say that the idea has been successfully tested on mice and sheep, as analysis showed that cannabis inhibited the accumulation of prion proteins in infected mice and sheep.

However, the finding has failed to receive a warm and encouraging response from the British agriculturists.

"I'd have to be potty to give my cows a joint. I can't see this taking off," The Sun quoted Farmer Neil Sutton, of Canterbury, Kent, as saying.
