Father Forced to Shut Down Blog After Negative Reaction to Breast Milk Diet Plan

A father of a nine month old girl, who posted on his blog that he wants to conduct an experiment wherein he will go on a diet of only breast milk, has been forced to shut down the blog following a wave of negative reaction from his readers. Known only by his pseudonym “Curtis”, the man said that his freezer was full of breast milk from his wife and it was proving impossible to either give it to someone else or dispose it off. Curtis said that he wanted to check how long the breast milk could sustain him and revealed that he will be taking 66 ounces a day to reach his target intake of 2,000 calories.

However soon after he posted about it on the blog, there were a lot of negative reactions from the readers who expressed outrage that the couple was not donating the breast milk to feed some sick or needy baby. The post also became a hot topic on news and parenting websites as well as Twitter, forcing Curtis to shut down his blog.

The negative reaction has been condemned by Emma Kwasnica who runs Human Milk 4 Human Babies, an online network for sharing breast milk. Kwasnica said that she had talked with the couple and revealed that they were overwhelmed by the negative reaction.

Stating that the negative reaction was a “shame”, Kwasnica said, “It’s her milk; she can do whatever she wants with it, she can feed it to the dog if she feels like it.”
