In the days of Smartphone, smart people and smart everything, why not sport a smart tooth to keep tabs on what goes into your mouth?
In a laboratory at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University in Taipei, scientists created a prototype of "Smart Tooth". During a trial session it was installed in a subject's mouth.
Designed to be about 1cm in length, "Smart Tooth," is a sensor that can be embedded in the artificial tooth and is capable of monitoring people's daily habits like smoking, chewing, drinking, coughing or overeating.
The sensor is designed to spot movements in the mouth and the wires that come along with it, conveys data to researchers.
The smart tooth promises to be a good way to help people watch their lifestyle habits. Watch out, smart tooth is here to catch you with your daily eating habits.
