Facilities To Be Reviewed at Its Hospitals: Delhi Government
A panel to review medical facilities in state-run hospitals was planned by the Delhi government a day after four people die due to lack of oxygen at a trauma centre.
Health Minister A.K. Walia set up a four-member committee led by Maulana Azad Medical College dean Arun Kumar Agarwal.

Walia said the system would be overhauled based on the status and requirement of each hospital.

The committee would visit the hospitals and submit a report within a fortnight.

Walia said the committee set up to examine the incident at Shushruta Trauma Centre Tuesday morning had been told to submit its report within three days.

"Disciplinary action will be taken against officials found guilty of misconduct or dereliction of duty," Walia said.

The deaths occurred at Sushrut Trauma Centre around 6.45 a.m. when the hospital's centralised oxygen supply was disrupted due to the fault of an operator.
