A recent poll has revealed that extra-marital affairs is high among builders.

The survey, by OnePoll for extra-marital dating agency IllicitEncounters.com, has found one in five people working in construction are currently cheating on spouses, while more than one in four have admitted to playing away in the past.

The poll, which quizzed 4,000 people on their relationships, found banking to be the second most adulterous profession, with a shocking eight per cent admitting an affair.

"It has previously been estimated that around 40 per cent of women and 60 per cent of men will cheat, so these figures seem quite low," News of the World quoted Rosie Freeman-Jones, of Illicit Encounters, which has 450,000 members on its UK website, as saying.

"In our experience there are way more people having affairs than this survey suggests. It's just that people in the construction industry have chosen to be more honest about it," Rosie added.

The poll found nine per cent admitting they weren't physically attracted to their partners with one in ten who had been in a relationship more than ten years claiming they never had sex.

The study also showed that the best place to look for a faithful partner is in marketing and transport. (ANI)
