Batches of the erection pill "Top Gun for Men Herbal Extracts" have been withdrawn from the market after they proved to be just "too potent".

Experts warned that the pills cause "serious health consequences" since they contain traces of a powerful "weekend erection" pill Tadalafil, a prescription-only erectile dysfunction drug.

Top Gun's manufacturer, Sydney-based La Viva Blue, is now asking anyone who purchased the pill not to use it.

"(Taking the product) could give rise to serious health consequences, especially for patients with existing medical conditions such as heart problems or persons at risk of stroke," News.com.au quoted La Viva Blue, as saying in a statement.

"Anyone who is concerned in any way about the use of this product should consult their doctor," the company added.

The corporation also added that people who had bought the products would be given a full refund for pill that have an expiry date of December 2008.
