 Epidemics Plague Flood Victims in Balochistan
Epidemics, particularly gastroenteritis and malaria have plagued over 60,000 flood survivors in Balochistan, Pakistan.
Sources said that the people were suffering due to consumption of contaminated floodwater.

According to Health Department sources, they have examined 30,000 patients with diarrhoea, 8,539 with malaria, 8,761 with skin diseases, 3,764 with asthma and 2,979 with eye diseases.

Over 12,853 children are also suffering from diarrhoea and gastroenteritis, The Daily Times reports.

The cases have been reported from 30 medical camps set up in five flood-hit districts including Jhal Magsi, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad, Sibi and Bolan.
