Simple things such as adjusting a desk chair or computer monitor in accordance with your employee's body position can increase their health and happiness, making them more productive, according to Mashable.

Keeping the desk clutter-free, adding a small potted plant to your desk decor and letting in a lot of natural light increases productivity, energy and creativity.

A color psychologist has also revealed that color effects people universally, like blue stimulates the mind, yellow inspires creativity, red affects your body and green creates a calming balance.

The expert also pointed out that highly saturated, bright colors will stimulate while softer, muted colors will soothe.

Lastly, it is important to let your employees take mini breaks during the day to relax and recharge their minds.
