Doctors Remove 2-Inch Feather from Neck of Baby

Doctors at a hospital in Wichita, Kansas, removed a 2-inch feather from the neck of a seven month old baby. Mya Whittington’s parents got concerned after their daughter’s jaw started to swell up. When they took her to the hospital, doctors initially assumed that it was swollen glands and sent her back home.

However the next day, Aaron and Emma Whittington noticed something sticking out of the lump and returned to the hospital, where they were sent to a bigger hospital in Wichita.

Even as the doctors were observing Mya, the feather started to stick out of her neck before the doctors pulled it out completely. The doctors said that the feather was in her neck for some time and added that Mya probably swallowed it but it got stuck in her throat and her body tried to eject it out through the neck.
