Despite Warnings Most Brit Women Have Unsafe Sex

by Medindia Content Team on Dec 1 2007 12:02 PM

It seems that young women are not precautionary when it comes to sex, for a new survey has found that 70 per cent of them have unprotected intercourse with new partners.

Despite well-known fears of sexually transmitted diseases, 97 per cent revealed that they don't carry condoms.

According to the Company magazine poll, almost 50 percent had caught a sex infection.

"We were shocked by the results," the Mirror quoted Claire Irvin, an acting editor, as saying.

Along with Durex, the magazine has signed celebrities such as Dannii Minogue to design condom tins.

Stressing on the soaring rates of sexually transmitted diseases, Dannii said: “Using a condom has never been so important."
