Delhi Hospitals Issued Notices for Allowing Mosquitoes to Breed Inside Their Premises
People in Delhi should also beware of hospitals! Latest reports show that some of the largest and the most popular hospitals of Delhi have been harboring Dengue-spreading mosquitoes inside their premises.
Data collected from the North Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) reveals that the central government-run hospital AIIMS, which on an average sees, 25,000 to 30,000 patients every day, is one of the worst offenders.

Municipal authorities say that so far more than 70 notices have been issued to the central government-run AIIMS after the civic body officials found dengue mosquito larvae during different inspections.

A notice was also issued to the director of the premier institute for letting dengue mosquitoes thrive inside the campus. Bharat Agaria, 20, the son of an AIIMS staffer had recently died of dengue at the hospital.

Similarly, Safdardung hospital, also run by the central government, has been served 18 notices by the NDMC. The NDMC has also issued 12 and 14 notices respectively to other popular city hospitals such as Dr RML hospital and Lady Hardinge Medical College.
