Counselors Under the Scanner After Warning Women That Abortion Increases the Chances of Them Turning into Child Sex Abusers
Counselors in pregnancy centers are reportedly giving out false warnings to women seeking abortion, claiming that it increases the chances of turning women into child sex abusers as well as risk of cancers or sterility, an investigation carried out by The Daily Telegraph reveals.
Reporters visited two Crisis Pregnancy Centres (CPCs), CLWC in London and APAS in Luton, posing as women who were considering abortions and secretly filmed the advice they received from the counselors.

One of the reporters who visited CLWC was told that getting an abortion was linked with a statistical likelihood of women turning into child sex abusers while abortion also made it 25 percent less likely that they would be able to carry a baby to full term in the future.

Lawmakers have reacted sharply to the expose with a number of MPs demanding a complete review in abortion counseling process, which remains unregulated. “Women who go to a centre which purports to give impartial advice that is fundamentally anti-abortion in its stance, but doesn’t openly say so, is totally unacceptable. Now is the time for the Secretary of State [Jeremy Hunt] to order a review of the whole abortion counseling process”, Conservative MP, Dr Sarah Wollaston, said.
