Additional Georgia State Patrol officers picked up the chase and stopped Deadwyler on Sylvan Road. In the struggle that followed, Deadwyler bit  a large chunk of skin off the the Atlanta officer's arm  as the officer reached into the car to shut off the ignition, police said. Deadwyler is currently at Grady Memorial Hospital, from where he will be taken to Fulton County Jail. Authorities have charged him with two counts each of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and speeding to elude, in addition to one count each of felony, obstruction and improper equipment.
