Controversial Ads on Teen Pregnancy Show Heavily Pregnant Boys
The Chicago Department of Public Health has issued a new ad campaign on raising awareness about teenage pregnancies. The controversial ads feature heavily pregnancy boys with the sobering message, "Unexpected? Most teen pregnancies are".
The ads have been put on billboards in local high school areas and also feature on trains and buses. The intention of the ads is to remind young boys that teen pregnancy is not just the girl’s problem.

"We know that less than 50 per cent of teen mums go on to finish high school, and only two per cent will complete a college degree before the age of thirty," Chicago's Health Commissioner, Dr Bechara Choucair, told Fox News, adding that they wanted to convey that teen pregnancies have wider repercussions on the community.

New York City and Milwaukee have also adopted the ad campaign.
