Conjoined Twins Made Their First Public Appearance at the Philadelphia Hospital
Conjoined twin girls who are just 9 months old, made their first public appearance at the Philadelphia hospital where they underwent the surgery to separate them.
The twins, Allison June and Amelia Lee Tucker along with their parents were introduced at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The surgery to separate the twins took place in November and was a seven-hour operation.

Dr. Holly Hedrick, a pediatric surgeon said that even though Allison was smaller she was the tougher one among the two. But she's still in intensive care for now.

Together, they shared a chest wall, diaphragm, pericardium and liver. They had been joined at the lower chest and abdomen.

This surgery marked the 21st separation of conjoined twins at the hospital and this process totally involved around 40 medical staff members.
