Combining Testosterone With Viagra may Not be Beneficial in ED
Combining testosterone with Viagra may not lead to better erections compared to taking Viagra alone, a new study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine reveals.
Researchers led by Matthew Spitzer of Boston University studied over 140 men, who had low levels of testosterone, over a period of 14 weeks. All of the men were given Viagra and some of them received testosterone gel while the others received placebo.

The researchers then recorded the number of times the men had sex and also asked them to rate their sexual satisfaction, desire, orgasms and their ability to achieve and maintain an erection. The researchers found that both the groups of men, who had received either testosterone gel or a placebo, reported similar numbers in every category.

Spitzer though said that every individual is unique and if people are finding that combining testosterone with Viagra is more beneficial, then they should continue doing so. “There is no benefit to adding testosterone to Viagra. Treatment is a highly individual situation, and this study does not represent all men. If you benefit from both, you should be comfortable continuing this combined therapy”, he said.
