Paris was caught on camera making the comment when greeting her fans at a store in the South American country's capital of Bogota. "Because of that, the boys that are eating [that kind of] chicken, because they are injecting female hormones, they are starting to turn into homosexuals", she said.

The comment has sparked outrage among people, many of whom visited her Facebook page to criticize her claim. The President of the National Federation for Colombian Poultry Farmers, Andres Fernando Moncada, dismissed the claim, saying that no chicken in the country is injected with female hormones and said the practice was nothing but an urban myth.
