Cheeky E-mail Lands UK Trainee in Big Trouble

by Savitha C Muppala on Dec 14 2009 9:53 PM

A female trainee employed at a leading British firm gave in her papers after forwarding a cheeky email about choosing the "fittest" boy at the workplace.

Holly Leam-Taylor, of Staines, Middlesex, asked female colleagues at account- ants Deloitte who they thought should be the winner of the "Official First-Year Analyst Girls' Man of the Year".

The 22-year-old included eight categories such as best piece of gossip you've heard this year, most attractive "older" member of staff and boy most likely to sleep his way to the top.

The Warwick University graduate subsequently resigned after her email was leaked to millions of netizens who flooded her inbox with replies.Obviously, I never imagined the email would reach this level of awareness," the Daily Express quoted Holly as saying.

"Most people have recognised that what I wrote was in good spirit but in retrospect I realise it probably wasn't the best idea," she added. (ANI)

A Deloitte spokesman said: "We are very disappointed. While intended as a joke, this is a stark reminder of the need to exercise careful judgment when using email."
