Center for Stem Cell Clinical Trials by Fortis and TotipotentRX

Centers of excellence which will offer cellular therapies and stem cell clinical trials will be set up by Fortis Healthcare and TotipotentRX Cell Therapy Pvt. Ltd. at select Fortis Hospitals across the country. Stem cell clinical research procedures relating to diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and neurological ischemia will be conducted at these centers. Processing of stem cells before transplantation will also be done by TotipotentRX which will set up cGMP laboratories in selected hospitals. The clinical trials will focus on regenerative therapies, using stem cell sources like cord blood, bone marrow and adipose tissue.

A stem cell medical board which will follow international and Indian Ethical guidelines will be created to oversee the medical research program, ensure execution and monitor the progress. Training will also be imparted by the board and at the same time they will create awareness about the benefits of stem cell therapy across India.
