Cell Phone Addiction and What It Means
Cell phones have become almost indispensible and many feel they cannot exist without them.
A recent Baylor study shows that when we over use our cell-phones it could imply impulsiveness and materialism, a behavior akin to misusing credit cards and shopping compulsively.

The study which analyzed behaviors of 191 business students at two U.S. universities using cell phones, found that they send around 109.5 text messages a day. This amounts to nearly 3,200 texts in a month.

The study also revealed how students check their phones nearly 60 times on any given day. If students lose their cell phones they feel their social lives are jeopardized.

Researchers also say that cell phones have become a status symbol. To break free from compulsive cell phone use, users must not keep checking their phone every couple of seconds. It might be good to just leave it behind in a safe place and forget about the phone for a few days to break free from the habit.
