Cavity-Causing Germs are Contagious and can be Transferred from Mother to Child

A new study conducted by American researchers reveals that tooth decay is not only one of the most chronic childhood diseases; it is also contagious and can be transferred from the mothers to their children.

According to the study by researchers at University of Louisville School of Dentistry, mothers with cavities can transmit caries-producing oral bacteria to their babies when they clean pacifiers by sticking them in their own mouths or by sharing spoons.
