A new study has found that casual sex could actually be good.
According to researchers, those who were "sociosexually unrestricted" and indulged in casual sex, had higher self-esteem and life satisfaction and lower depression and anxiety, Metro.co.uk reported.
The new study by New York University has challenged the popular misconceptions that casual sex can leave participants with low self-esteem and self-worth following a sexual encounter with someone who isn't a long-term partner, and has claimed the opposite.
The study also found that women also enjoy casual sex just as much as men.
