'Bulimia Has Caused More Havoc Than Drugs for Amy', Says Pal

It seems that beleaguered singer Amy Winehouse is struggling to recover from the bulimia that she developed as a teenager.

Winehouse's hairdresser friend Alex Foden revealed that the eating disorder has caused more havoc for the singer and her hubby Blake Fielder-Civil than the alleged drug addiction.

Foden added that the couple wanted to leave London for some peace.

"They've been rowing a lot over the bulimia - not the drugs. They wanted to leave London for some peace and quiet.," Contactmusic quoted Foden, as saying.

The hairdresser also claimed that when Amy shot to fame she was a healthy size 10 and then people called her 'fat'.

Foden also said that Winehouse has managed to put on weight, but is still fighting the disorder.

"When Amy shot to fame she was a size 10 and people called her fat. Celebs say they don't read their own press, but they do. She's managed to put on a little weight recently, but it's an ongoing battle," Foden said.
