Britney Spears has checked out of a Los Angeles hospital, after spending a little more than 24-hours at the facility, following her Jan 3rd stand-off with police.
Spears, who was admitted to Cedars Sinai Hospital, left the facility after officials ensured she was no longer a danger to herself.Reports say that the troubled singer left the hospital through an underground tunnel, avoiding the paparazzi crowd stationed outside the hospital.
The ‘Toxic’ singer left the center after a visit from US television therapist Dr. Phil McGraw.
"My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention," E! Online quoted Dr. McGraw, as telling Entertainment Tonight.
The TV doctor added that his arrival at the hospital when Britney was being released was just coincidence.
"She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car,” he said.
