British Men Spend £1.5b a Year on Beauty Treatments!

They often pass comments on how much women shelve out on their looks, but a new survey has found that men are not that far behind when it comes spending on beauty treatments, splurging 1.5 billion pounds a year themselves.

And, experts estimate that this number is set to rise, what with the number of men going in for a makeover having trebled in the past years alone.

According to the survey, the most popular treatments that men spend their precious money on is waxing and facials, with almost a million Brit blokes visiting a spa at least once a year.

A spokesman for Thistle Hotels, which did the study, said that the trend rise in the numbers visiting spas was because British men were now at ease at maintaining their appearance.

"UK men are seen as macho, but are increasingly at ease with maintaining appearance," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
