Britain to Be Firm With Job Centres' Illegal 'Extras'

by Medindia Content Team on Dec 26 2007 3:42 PM

Bosses who entice women into the sex trade using Job Centres will now be facing a crackdown in Britain.

Massage parlours, escort agencies and strip bars will have to sign forms confirming they are not offering sexual services.

In Job Centres many people advertise for receptionists or clerical staff, and then after the interview they reveal that workers are expected to offer “extras”.

Ministers in the UK are concerned about the prevailing situation as Job Centres are being used as legitimate cover for illegal work and luring school-leavers into the sex industry, reports The Sun.

The clampdown will include prospective employers being inspected by Job Centre workers.

And the bosses who object to the inspections will be barred from advertising.

Employers are also expected to sign forms confirming that employees are not required to touch clients.
