Brit Women Go for Cosmetic Surgery to Look Perfect on Their Wedding Day

Looking perfect on the wedding day has taken a new meaning altogether among Brit brides-to-be.

According to a new research, the brides are cheating their way to the altar, having boob ops and tummy tucks to look perfect on their big day.

Plastic surgeons have seen a 50percent rise in nip/tuck operations so far this summer, the research found.

And they reckon more women than ever are relying on surgery to make sure they are gorgeous on their big day.

Top of the must-have list is bigger boobs, but the number of liposuction ops is also rising as heavyweight brides go for a quick fix.

Facelifts, nose jobs and Botox injections are popular, too.

The total number of people having cosmetic surgery in Britain rose last year by 12.2percent to 32,453, according to the Harley Medical Group.

"I'm seeing more and more women having cosmetic surgery in time for their wedding," The Daily Star quoted top cosmetic surgeon Delia Nield, who works at The London Clinic, as saying.

"I wouldn't say a wedding is the only reason one would opt for a procedure, but it is often the catalyst if the patient has been considering surgery for a while. It is the most important day of a woman's life and every woman wants to look her best," he added.
