 Bride Injured in Acid Attack
A bride from Barnala who was reportedly getting married on Saturday suffered injuries after an unidentified man threw acid on her at a beauty parlour at Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Harsh Bansal told reporters that the victim was in the salon with her friend, getting ready for her wedding, when a masked man came in enquiring about the bride. The culprit then handed over a letter to the victim and instantly threw acid on her.

"Around 8:30 in the morning an unidentified man entered into Lakme salon and attacked a girl with acid. We have registered the case and investigation is on. We have got some clues, and we are talking to both the families. The victim was to be married today. The case will be traced soon. Three girls were injured there. The girl, who was to be married, has been burnt more than 50 percent," he said.

The victims rushed to the DMC Hospital where her condition was stated to be stable.

The police have registered the case as attempt to murder under section 307 of the IPC.
