The vital organs such as heart, liver, kidneys and corneas were harvested from the brain dead security official from Kochi.
A brain-dead security official in Kochi gave a lease of life to four people in need of organs. Prasad met with an accident in Alappuzha on March 18. He suffered severe head injury in the incident. He was admitted to a hospital in Haripad, //his condition worsened and was taken to TD Medical College in Vandanam. He was later referred to a private hospital in Kochi where he was declared brain dead.

Prasad's s wife Radhamani and other relatives agreed to donate his vital organs. His heart was transplanted to George Devassy at Caritas Hospital. Liver and a kidney were transplanted to patients at the Lakeshore Hospital. Another kidney was transplanted to a patient in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. His corneas were donated to the Eye Bank at Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.
