Botox may Cure Migraines as Well
Botox maker Allergan Inc has revealed that late-stage clinical trials show the cosmetic wonder may treat chronic migraines as well.

The wrinkle-smoother worked very well in its Phase III clinical trials, where it demonstrated significantly greater decrease in headache days among patients receiving it as compared with those receiving a placebo.

The company said that injections of Botox at sites like forehead, temples and potentially extending into the neck muscles were well tolerated by patients.

It is estimated that 1.2 million to 3.6 million people in the United States suffer from chronic migraine.
