Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone Launches the Logo of 'The Live Love Laugh' Foundation

Depression is a major health issue in the country which needs to be addressed, said Deepika Padukone who faced depression in the past.

"The fight against depression is a cause very close to my heart and is one of the largest health issues facing the country today. Having experienced depression in the recent past, I realize how difficult it is to recognise the problem, find information and get the right kind of professional help," said Deepika.

Depression � A Holistic Approach-Signs, Symptoms and Treatment
Depression is a common disorder and many worldwide suffer from depression. Early recognition of symptoms and signs of depression can help in taking a holistic approach to the management of depression.

The logo of her 'The Live Love Laugh' Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to address the issue of mental health in India, was launched on Twitter by the actress.

"I was fortunate to get the kind of support and through this platform I hope others get the same kind of help. My team and I are working hard to set up the foundation and the logo launch is a small step in that direction," said Deepika.

The logo which has flying birds represents the essence of the foundation. A baseline 'Foundation Against Depression' which represents the mission is also present in the logo.

Deepika Padukone to Create Mental Health Awareness in India
The bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, in the year 2015, is planning to create as much mental health awareness among people as she can.

Deepika spoke about how she experienced depression and took professional help to overcome it in an interview. She had then taken a decision to start a not-for-profit organization that will focus on awareness about mental health as an issue, lower the stigma surrounding it and enable support to people affected by mental health issues. The foundation will engage with institutions, professionals and other organizations in the field of mental health.
