A new study has shown the benefits of consuming foods that contain plenty of antioxidants called flavonoids, which can offset risk of Parkinson's disease.

Chocolates, apples and citrus fruits are also rich in flavonoids.

Lead researcher Dr. Xiang Gao, said, "Although it's too early to say that eating berries can reduce Parkinson's disease risk, benefits of berries have been reported in several previous studies, for example, lowering risk of hypertension. So, it is good, if we can have 2-3 cups of berries a week."
