 Balm for Vuvuzela Lips

While the recent World Cup has seen the widespread popularity of vuvuzelas, one of the major problems of constantly blowing into the plastic horns, apart from the noise, is swollen lips.

Fans have found their lips getting swollen similar to a bee sting and researchers have suggested that applying baby oil is the simplest way of combating it quickly. The fans are being advised to apply baby oil or petroleum jelly before every match and if you still suffer from vuvuzela lips, you can apply it after the game.

Apart from swollen lips, health experts have also warned the danger of suffering from flu with Dr Jantjie Taljaard from the Tygerberg Hospital saying that fans should be careful of exchanging their vuvuzelas with other people since it could lead to the spread of flu virus.
