Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has said that he is feeling "marvellously well" after winning a long battle with hepatitis.
According to Ansa news agency, Armani, 75, who was at Vogue Fashion's Night Out in Milan, Italy, and a perfume launch, said that his liver was in such good shape that he could stop taking the medicine he had been on.Armani had revealed in May that he had been battling hepatitis, and after several missed public appearances in spring, and a gaunt appearance at the June Italian menswear shows, there were concerns about his health.
"I'm marvellously well, I beat my problem. The data about my liver are nearly perfect - some even better than perfect - such that I can stop taking my medicine," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
The tanned designer said he had also just returned from a long, relaxing vacation cruising around Croatia, Italy's southern coast and the islands off Sicily before ending up at his home on the island of Pantelleria.
