A new survey finds that alpha females are likely to reign the 21st century as more and more women play a dominant role in relationships.
Celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Katie Price, Sharon Osbourne and Cheryl Cole have become an inspiration for the new generation of powerful women.
According to the survey including both men and women stars like Cheryl and Angelina are looked up as archetypal modern females because they 'do' manage to have it all.
The 'Tomb Raider' star successfully balances motherhood with her movie career, while Cheryl is part of Britain's top girl band, Girls Aloud, and recently concocted herself with her latest stint in TV's X Factor series.
Even popular TV shows like Sex And The City have been promoting the notion of alpha females.
The survey conducted by Current TV also showed that people associate powerful women with killer heels and 40pct believe that they are a "must-have".
"In the battle of the sexes, it really does seem the female stereotype is stronger and more successful than ever," the Daily Star quoted James DuBern, Current's Vice President of programming, as saying.
Women have also been grabbing most attention in powerful couples.
Nearly 85 pct of the respondents declared that Victoria Beckham rules the roost while just 15pct named David.
In addition, 88pct said Kate Price bosses around her husband Peter Andre, 35.
