Allergan Launches Painless Dermal Filler to Correct Facial Imperfections
American pharmaceutical giant Allergan announced the launch of their new product, the Juvederm XC, which the company claims is a painless dermal filler used to correct facial imperfections, in the Indian market.
While the cosmetic market in India is not yet as big as some of the other countries in Asia, the managing director of Allergan India, Raghu Kumar said that the company expected the market for dermal fillers to grow five times in the next five years.

Dermal fillers are implants that are used to correct imperfections such as wrinkles, depressions or scarring in the face. Kumar said that his company has tied up with some of the most popular skin clinics in the country such as VLCC and Kaya while over a 1,000 cosmetologists have also been approached to use their products.

Commenting on the pricing, Kumar said that the product will cost between Rs 15,000 and Rs 70,000 depending on the requirements and added that his company will be launching another variant of the product by the end of this year.
