All About the Muscle of the Tongue - Hyoglossus

A Camby man won $50,000 on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' simply by answering what appears to be a simple question for medical professionals. He was asked "Where is the Hyoglossus muscle?"

The answer is that this happens to be the major muscle of the tongue. Hyoglossus depresses side of tongue and draws it back when protruded.

The muscle plays a very important role while speaking and singing and is also needed for males while having oral sex. 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?' is a very popular show on US television and airs on GSN network.
