Patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are usually treated with continuous positive airway pressure therapy (CPAP), but many do no opt for CPAP device due to the uncomfortable masks and hoses associated with them.

Airing LLC, a company in Burlington, Massachusetts, is working on a CPAP that’s more compact than traditional devices. The team is raising money on Indiegogo to develop a micro CPAP machine that is small enough to stick in the nose.

Designers of the airing device rely on micro-blowers that use little power to push air into the nostrils. The team has managed to raise over a half million dollars on Indiegogo.
