The death toll in Nepal's devastating earthquake may not go beyond 10,000, Health and Population Minister Khagaraj Adhikari has said.
According to him, the toll from the April 25 temblor, which has now crossed 8,000, may not cross the 10,000-mark as some had predicted, Xinhua quoted him as saying. More than 17,800 were injured.

Quake victims, who already had spinal cord injury, suffer more as they were pulled out of the rubble, dragged and rushed to the hospital in make-shift ambulances.
