
Four more children have died of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, taking the toll to five so far, an official said.
Muzaffarpur civil surgeon Gyan Bhusan said two children died on Wednesday while three died till Tuesday evening.

According to him, more than 10 children have been admitted to a hospital with AES symptoms.
A severe case of encephalitis, AES is characterized by inflammation of the brain. Mosquitoes transmit the infection causing high fever.
Every year encephalitis hits Muzaffarpur and neighboring districts in May or June.
