Machine-Washable Absorbent Undergarments for Women, an Alternate to Sanitary Napkins

'Thinx' has come up with machine-washable women's underwear designed specially for the menstruating days. It is completely leak-proof when used right.

Entrepreneurs Antonia Dunbar, Miki Agrawal and Radha Agrawal said that they understood the uncomfortable awkward situations women had to face, giving in the need to change in between, and hence wanted to revolutionize the feminine hygiene industry with their undies.

Thinx come in various styles and boasts anti-bacterial properties. The first is for light days, the second for medium days and the third for heavier days. For those with heavy flow, you might need to wear it with ordinary sanitary napkins, but because they can absorb up to two tampons of menstrual blood, they give confidence against leakage.

As the company slogan goes "only you know your flow". The absorbent underwear is machine-washable and stain-resistant and can hold as much liquid as a standard pad.

For women in developing countries, the company will also donate a reusable menstrual pad every time you buy an ordinary pad, through the non-profit organization, AFRIpads. The product will be shipped to countries outside the US.
