 A Lottery With a Difference
Richard Desmond, media mogul, owner of the Daily Express and OK! magazine, has launched a new lottery game to raise more than £50 million a year for health charities.
Desmond, also the owner of Channel 5 since last summer, said he would be able to provide first class distribution, promotion and marketing for the Health Lottery. Tickets will cost £1, a percentage of which will go to local health projects across the country.

He said, “This is a great way of us being able to get across a minimum of £50 million a year to add to and change people's lives.”   He declared himself to be proud of the venture since it will benefit local communities and local health-linked projects around the country that are not supported by the NHS.

"The Health Lottery will provide something extra - extra choice, extra fun, extra winners and extra financial resources for health projects all over Great Britain,” he said.
