Brazilian researchers are conducting a trial to see if they can convert stem cells found in teeth into sperms, according to a report on www.newscientist.com.
Researcher Irina Kerkis of the Butantan Institute, São Paulo, and her colleagues used stem cells found in the pulp of teeth for the study. They injected these cells into the testes of live mice and found them migrating to the tubules where sperm are produced.
