The relatives of two pregnant women who died after receiving wrong injections, vandalized a nursing home in Kolkata despite the best efforts by police to calm them down.
Dr Gokul Chandra Modak, who prescribed the said injections, also roused the ire of the mob and his vehicle was damaged in the process.

Dr Modak prescribed another injection after receiving which the women died. Restless relatives proceeded to ransack the nursing home.
“Relatives of the victims have submitted a written complaint against the accused. The nurse has been arrested while Dr Modak has been detained. The bodies of the victims have been sent to Arambag sub-divisional hospital for an autopsy,” said inspector-in-charge of the Arambag police station Samir Lala.
