Muesli contains fat? And all along we thought eating muesli is a healthy way to start the morning. Testing 159 varieties of muesli, the consumer organization, Choice, found that many types of muesli contained healthy fat coming from seeds, oats and nuts.
Alarmingly, some types of muesli contained high amounts of ‘unhealthy fat’ Some of them were also high on sugar content, even though the labeling mentioned ‘no added sugar’.
A word of advice for those who are eating muesli to lose weight, it is important to take into account the total sugar and fat content in the chosen variety of muesli so that one is clear what to expect as regards weight loss.
